Kampala → Murchison Falls NP

Drive north, stopping at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary en route. Afternoon game drive in Murchison. Overnight lodge.

Day 2

Murchison Falls — Full Day Game Drive

Full day in the park — North Bank game drive for lion, elephant, giraffe and leopard. Sundowner on the Nile. Overnight Murchison.

Day 3

Nile Boat Cruise + Top of Falls Hike

Morning cruise to Murchison Falls base. Afternoon hike to the top of the falls for a dramatic view of the Nile squeezing through a 7-metre gorge. Overnight Murchison.

Day 4

Murchison → Fort Portal / Kibale

Long but scenic drive south through Hoima and the crater lake region to Fort Portal. Overnight Fort Portal.

Day 5

Chimpanzee Tracking — Kibale Forest

Full-day chimp tracking in Kibale NP. Optional afternoon Bigodi Wetland walk. Overnight Kibale lodge.

Day 6

Kibale → Queen Elizabeth NP (Optional)

Drive south to Queen Elizabeth NP for an optional game drive and Kazinga Channel cruise en route to Bwindi. Overnight QE or Ishasha.

Day 7

Ishasha → Bwindi

Morning Ishasha tree-climbing lion drive. Drive to Bwindi lodge. Ranger briefing. Overnight Bwindi.

Day 8

Gorilla Trekking Day

The highlight of the trip. Trek into Bwindi with UWA rangers to spend 1 hour with mountain gorillas. Return to lodge.

Day 9

Lake Bunyonyi Relaxation Day

Full free day at Lake Bunyonyi — canoe, swim, or simply watch the mist roll in from the terraced hills. Overnight lakeside lodge.

Day 10

Lake Bunyonyi → Kampala

Leisurely morning. Drive back to Kampala, arriving evening. Optional international departure from Entebbe.
