Early morning hotel pickup from Kampala or Entebbe. Scenic 8-hour drive through the Rift Valley escarpment, passing tea plantations and the Kabale highlands. Afternoon ranger briefing at the park headquarters. Overnight at Bwindi lodge with dinner included.
Pre-dawn breakfast then into the forest with experienced UWA rangers to locate a habituated gorilla family. Treks range 1–6 hours depending on family location. You'll spend a full hour with silverbacks, mothers and playful juveniles — photography permitted. Return to lodge for lunch and an afternoon nature walk.
Morning at leisure on the terraced shores of Lake Bunyonyi — optional dugout canoe across to Punishment Island. Late morning drive back to Kampala / Entebbe, arriving early evening. Optional city overnight available.
