Day 1

Kampala → Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Drive north through Luweero district to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary — Uganda's only wild rhino habitat. Guided rhino tracking on foot. Overnight at Ziwa.

Day 2

Murchison Falls National Park — Game Drive

Continue north to Murchison Falls NP. Afternoon game drive in the North Bank — lion, giraffe, elephant and buffalo. Overnight Murchison lodge.

Day 3

Murchison Falls — Nile Boat Cruise + Hike

Morning boat cruise along the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls — one of the world's most powerful waterfalls. Optional hike to the top of the falls. Afternoon game drive. Overnight Murchison.

Day 4

Murchison → Kibale Forest

Full-day drive south through Kinyara sugar estates and Fort Portal town. Arrive Kibale Forest late afternoon. Overnight Kibale lodge.

Day 5

Chimpanzee Tracking + Bigodi Wetland

Morning chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest NP. Afternoon guided walk through Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for birds and primates. Overnight Kibale.

Day 6

Kibale → Queen Elizabeth NP

Drive south past the crater lakes to Queen Elizabeth NP. Afternoon game drive in Kasenyi sector — buffalo, elephant, Uganda kob. Overnight lodge on Kazinga Channel.

Day 7

Kazinga Channel Cruise + Ishasha Game Drive

Early morning Kazinga Channel cruise. Afternoon drive to Ishasha for tree-climbing lion viewing in giant fig trees. Overnight Ishasha camp.

Day 8

Ishasha → Bwindi + Nature Walk

Morning game drive. Drive through Buhoma to Bwindi. Afternoon guided forest nature walk to acclimatise to the terrain. Ranger briefing. Overnight Bwindi lodge.

Day 9

Gorilla Trekking Day

The highlight of the trip — gorilla trekking with UWA-certified rangers into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Full hour with habituated gorilla family. Afternoon at Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 10

Lake Bunyonyi → Kampala

Morning canoe on Lake Bunyonyi. Drive back to Kampala, arriving evening. Optional night in the city.

Absolutely. The itinerary is carefully paced with easy to moderate activities. It covers Uganda's greatest hits and provides a complete introduction to East African wildlife.

Can the route be reversed?

Yes — some guests prefer to start with gorillas and end in the north. The reverse route works equally well.

What types of accommodation are used?

We use comfortable mid-range lodges throughout. Upgrades to luxury tented camps are available on request.

How many people will be in my group?

Maximum 10 guests. We keep groups small for a better experience. Private vehicle options are available.
